この1足はアーティスト『CHITO』と“正式に”共作した記念すべきアイテムです。

“正式に”と前置きさせていただいたのは、10年近くにわたる親交のなかで、彼にはこれまでいくつかのシューズに手を加えてもらったことがあるからです。

過去のInstagramを遡って見ると分かりますが、2018年に彼がエアブラシでペインティングを施した"Shadow Base Loafers"(タッセルローファー)や、2021年の"Shadow Stompers"がそれにあたります。

これといったテーマは設けませんでしたが、どれも彼の遊び心あふれる自由な感覚が散りばめられており、今ではBLOHMというブランドの可能性を指し示してくれる大切なピースとなっています。

今回のプロジェクトは、そんな彼とお互いにアイディアを出し合うなかで「アートピースでありながら、実用的にファッションを楽しめるブーツでもある作品を製作しよう」という形にまとまってスタートしました。

まず、コンセプトとして根底にあるのは“レイヤー／積み重ね”です。

たとえば彼のルーツであるグラフィティは、ある対象物に誰かが最初に落書きして、それを修正するために別の誰かによって1色で塗りつぶされ、その上にまた誰かが描いて、また消されて、また描いて…といったように、常に現在進行形で様相が移り変わる、極めて刹那的な表現であるといえます。

そんな話をしているときに頭に浮かんだのは、90年代を代表する著名なデザイナーによって生み出された、唯ならぬオーラを放つ傑作でした。

実際に何年も履いたかのようなシワや、塗装の経年劣化が見事に表現されたそのブーツからは、デザイナーによって込められた時間や想いが表現されていました。

それはファッションというカテゴリーを超えた、いわばアートピースと呼ぶべきものだったのです。

本アイテムはフロントのZIPPERには共同製作の証として、お互いのアイコンであるPULLER(引き手)を装着しており、アッパーの素材には、私自身が手作業でエイジング加工を施した"Hand Brushed Off Leather"(アドバンレザー)を採用し、その上から彼によるアートワークを1点1点ハンドプリントしてあります。

そういった性質上、履いていただく度に馴染み、手入れをする度に違った"味"(表情)を見せてくれます。

その変化を楽しんでいただくこと自体が、このアイテムの醍醐味といえるかもしれません。

「履いていただくことで完成していく」ともいえるこの1足に、あなたのこれからが積み重なっていくのが、心から楽しみでなりません。

This pair is a commemorative item created through an official collaboration with artist "CHITO".

I say "official" because over nearly a decade of friendship, he has previously customized several pairs of shoes for me.
Scrolling back through past Instagram posts reveals examples: the "Shadow Base Loafers" (tassel loafers) he airbrushed in 2018, and the "Shadow Stompers" from 2021.
While no specific theme was set, each piece is sprinkled with his playful, free-spirited sensibility. They now stand as vital pieces pointing toward the potential of the BLOHM brand.

This project began when we brainstormed ideas together, settling on the concept: "Let's create a piece that is both an artwork and a practical boot that allows you to enjoy fashion."

The underlying concept is "layers/accumulation."
For instance, graffiti—his artistic roots—is an intensely ephemeral form of expression. It constantly evolves in real time: someone scribbles on an object, another paints over it in a single color to cover it up, then someone else draws on top of that, only for it to be erased again, and the process repeats.
While discussing this, a masterpiece created by a renowned designer representing the 90s came to mind—a piece radiating an extraordinary aura.
The boots, with wrinkles that looked like years of wear and beautifully rendered paint aging, expressed the time and passion the designer poured into them.
It transcended the category of fashion; it was, in essence, an art piece.

This item features pullers—each brand's iconic symbol—on the front zipper as a testament to the collaboration.
The upper material utilizes "Hand Brushed Off Leather" (ADVAN Finish Leather), which I personally aged by hand. Over this, his artwork is hand-printed onto each pair individually.
Due to this nature, the boots will mold to your feet with each wear and reveal a different "character" (expression) with every care session.
Enjoying this transformation itself might be the true essence of this item.
